Next in Milan, June 2026

In June I will be showing my work in FRA_MENTI, a group exhibition curated by Roberto Mutti (at Fondazione Luciana Matalon, Milan)

The show brings together four women photographers, Laura Pellerej, Romana Zambon, Elena Siniscalchi and myself around a shared reflection on the fragment as a way of seeing and telling the real.

Four voices. One conversation.

My project, Not Quite, moves along the border between the abstract and the figurative, using doubt as a productive space.

Our instinct, faced with an abstract shape, is to recognise it, define it, contain it. There is something reassuring about giving a boundary to thought. This work asks you to resist that urge, to make room for doubt.

The other projects approach the theme from very different places.
Laura Pellerej works with memory and the social roles assigned to women of a certain generation. Romana Zambon fragments the visual language of Nairobi's matatu buses, moving canvases of urban identity. Elena Siniscalchi turns portraiture into a space of vulnerability and presence.

As Mutti writes, what connects us is an inquiry that goes "beyond the surface of things, to bring out something deeply anchored in our most intimate dimension."
